CPT Senior Coder

We are looking for a CPT Senior Coder to lead the coding validation for our AI-assisted medical billing systems. In this role, you will be responsible for refining machine learning models for CPT/ICD code assignment, reviewing complex cases where human expertise is needed, and ensuring that our AI systems maintain high coding accuracy. You’ll collaborate closely with data scientists to enhance AI-driven processes and ensure that our systems comply with the latest coding guidelines.

• Lead coding validation for AI-assisted medical billing systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with coding standards.
• Train and refine machine learning models to improve the assignment of CPT/ICD codes, leveraging your coding expertise.
• Review complex cases where AI models require human expertise for accurate coding and billing.
• Develop and maintain coding guidelines and documentation to ensure seamless integration of AI and human coding efforts.
• Collaborate with data scientists to continuously improve coding accuracy, model performance, and AI-assisted billing outcomes.
• Stay up-to-date with CPT/ICD updates and integrate those changes into the AI system to maintain compliance.

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent certification.
• 5+ years of experience in medical coding with a focus on CPT.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and medical billing systems.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
• Ability to analyze coding patterns and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts in healthcare applications, particularly around coding and billing.
